Mandela Effect, Alternate Realities, Mass Media Manipulation
Many pieces of the following information is my opinion. If this does not resonate with you, please disregard.
The Mandela Effect
The Mandela Effect is a psychological phenomenon where a group of people remembers an event, fact, or circumstance differently from the way it actually occurred. The term was coined by Fiona Broome in 2009 after she discovered that she remembered Nelson Mandela dying in the 1980s while he was imprisoned. He was actually released from prison and passed away in 2013. Others also remember him passing away in prison in the 1980s—how could that be? This shared misremembering of events, facts, or details has since been called the Mandela Effect and has created considerable interest in the fields of psychology, neuroscience, and popular culture.
The phenomenon is often reduced to the nature of human memory, which can be influenced by various factors, including suggestibility, social reinforcement, and cognitive biases. Memory is a reconstructive process where each time that we recall an event, we might alter it slightly based on new information or how we feel at that time. This can lead to the creation of "false memories," which feel as real as genuine memories. The Mandela Effect often involves common cultural standards, such as the misremembered spelling of the Berenstain Bears (often recalled as Berenstein Bears), whether or not the Fruit of the Loom logo had a cornucopia (supposedly it never has had one), or the famous quote from Star Wars, “Luke, I am your father,” is actually “No, I am your father.” Could it be that people just paid less attention to details? Maybe, but it does seem strange that there are so many examples of how large groups of the population had the same attention to detail (or lack of).
The Mandela Effect has also given rise to various theories, some of which venture into the realm of science fiction. Some people propose that these collective false memories are evidence of alternate realities or parallel universes intersecting with our own. While these theories are intriguing and add a layer of mystique to the phenomenon, most scientists and psychologists attribute the Mandela Effect to more mundane explanations rooted in the complexities of human memory.
Alternate Realities (Parallel Universes)
What is an Alternate Reality?
String theory is a theoretical framework in physics that attempts to merge two seemingly incompatible pillars of modern science: general relativity and quantum mechanics. At its core, string theory suggests that the fundamental elements of the universe are not point-like particles, but rather one-dimensional "strings" that vibrate at specific frequencies. These vibrations determine the properties of particles, such as mass and charge. By replacing point particles with strings, string theory tries to provide a combined description of all fundamental forces and particles in the universe, potentially leading to a "theory of everything."
One of the most intriguing implications of string theory is the possibility of alternate realities or parallel universes. The theory suggests that there could be multiple dimensions beyond the familiar three dimensions (3D) of space and one dimension (1D) of time. In fact, string theory requires the existence of up to 11 dimensions to be mathematically consistent. These extra dimensions could be so close together that they are imperceptible at human measurements or perceptions. They could be vast and expansive—existing in realms vastly different from our own. The concept of alternate realities or multiverses opens up a lot of fascinating possibilities. Each of these alternate realities could have its own version of physics, leading to a diverse landscape of possible worlds. Some of these universes might be similar to our own, while others could be vastly different, with different types of matter, forces, and even different forms of life.
Is there a limit to alternate realities?
No. I believe that there are unlimited alternate universes in existence. When you are faced with making a decision—big or small—you impact your life. Every decision that you could have made (but didn’t) creates a ripple of an alternate reality (the same way every decision you do make has lead you to here and now in this reality). This means that your choices have made you who you are based on what choices were available at the time. This is because humans are the creator of this reality. There is a collective consciousness that we all contribute to whether we know it or not—for good or for bad.
Example 1: Imagine that you are offered a job in another state where you don’t know anyone. You aren’t married and have no kids. You contemplate the pros and cons of taking the job or staying where you are now. You decide to not take the job. One month later you meet the love of your life who you end up marrying and having kids. You feel confident in that choice because it led you to where you are now.
But what happens to the version of you that chose to take the job?
There is an alternate reality of you taking the job and living in another state. You meet the love of your life in the new state (different person). You get married and have kids. You are confident in that decision that you made because it led you to where you are now.
Can you meet the other version that left to take the job?
It is unlikely that you will ever meet the other version of you while in this 3D reality. It is the same for the other person as well. They may or may not even know that you exist.
Why can’t we see the other realities?
I’m not a physicist, but my understanding of why these realities are not seen is because of humanity’s limited understanding of the universe. Humans naturally are tuned into specific physical laws that define our existence. If alternate realities really do exist, they may operate in a completely new set of laws or principles that we (as humans) have not reached the understanding. Of course, humans have nature senses and abilities that are limited to the physical laws that we are used to defining our lives. Physicists are constantly working towards a better understanding of our universe and capabilities using scientific methods and technologies to find particles that will help to explain why we are all here and what we can do with our time.
Can we switch realities (hop timelines)?
Yes, but it is not easy. When humans become awakened to their own consciousness (sometimes called a spiritual awakening), they typically set intentions to raise their own vibration to help themselves and the collective. Raising your vibration can put you on a new timeline. I may need to write another post about this specifically (when I do I will add the link here). In a nutshell, you can raise your vibration to a higher level of consciousness that may exist in one of those alternate realities.
Example 2: It is hard to explain, but let’s say that there are 26 realities (A-Z) (there are probably way more)—you are in Reality A. After lots of introspection and discernment, you may be able to hop into the Reality B or C. This reality is very close to your current reality. Maybe only small insignificant choices that you made created this alternate reality. What would it take to get to Reality Z (or the highest one you can)? I honestly do not know exactly just yet because I am not there yet, but I do believe that is has to do with working together to take care of ourselves, each other, Planet Earth, and the universe.
Another consideration is that each person on Earth (in the universe) is creating their own timelines/realities. These timelines become woven together and affect each and every one of us.
Example 3: I always imagine a crocheted quilt (unlimited size quilt) is a good representation or metaphor of the universe. You can lay it flat, fold it, twist it, and even unravel it. Pick one small inch (or less) of a section of the quilt—that is you and your current timeline and life. Now follow the yarn (i.e. string) and you’ll see it woven with other yarn and crossing over with other inches of the quilt. Now imagine bends and folds and twists in the quilt. That is the people you meet, the decisions you make or don't make, and the all of the possibilities that can be in existence. In an essence, we are all just a fragment of the universe playing out different scenarios with each other—learning lessons and evolving. While we can very much control our own decisions and actions, it is also very hard to predict how it will fit into the rest of the decisions others are making.
Every choice you make is important and affects everything. That is why it is so important for all of humanity to make conscious decisions in their everyday life. It can literally change reality for the better (or worst).
Are there glitches in timelines?
Simulation theory suggests that our reality might be an artificial simulation, much like a highly advanced computer game (yes, like The Sims). This idea has been popularized by figures such as philosopher Nick Bostrom and tech tycoon Elon Musk, who argue that if technological advancement continues at its current pace, future civilizations could generate simulations indistinguishable from actual reality. According to this theory, we could be living in one of these simulations, making our perceived universe a complex, programmed construct rather than a naturally occurring entity.
One interesting suggestion of simulation theory is the potential for "glitches" or irregularities within our reality. Just as video games or computer programs can experience bugs or errors, a simulated reality might also exhibit anomalies. These glitches could manifest as inexplicable occurrences or phenomena that defy our understanding of physics and natural laws. For instance, déjà vu, strange coincidences, or even the Mandela Effect could be interpreted as evidence of such glitches. These variances might hint at the possible artificiality of our existence, suggesting errors in the simulation's code or updates that have gone awry.
Whether or not our existence is artificial, there are many claims that people experience glitches in their day-to-day life. It may be caused by someone else (or you subconsciously) hopping timelines. It may be because of a programming error in the computer in which we live. It may be mass delusion. Whatever it is, we can focus on the greater outcome—making the best choices to reach our highest potential.
Remember that we are all on a journey, and that is our purpose. There is no “end goal.” In each lifetime and each reality, our focus should be becoming the best versions of ourselves to help the collective.
Of course, this is all just a theory.
Mass Manipulation (Main Stream Media)
Ok, so if we all just have to make better choices to get the collective to the highest timeline, why can’t we all just do that?
Well, it sounds simple enough, but there are so many people that are not there yet on their evolutionary journey (and may not be in this lifetime). It is not something that can be forced on anyone (nor should it be attempted to be forced on anyone). Each person has their own free will to make decisions—this is universal law.
In addition to the already challenging life that so many people endure on Earth, there are manipulations coming at us from every angle—one of the most prevalent is mass media (i.e. news, movies, tv shows, etc.). If a person is unable to have discernment with what kind of information they receive, they will be subjected to a very low vibration. They could even devolve into a lower timeline that is more challenging and harder to get out.
People tend to be programmed by what they consume in their brains like the news or television shows. I use the word programed whether or not we are living in a natural entity or artificial coding. Even the networks providing this content call it programming. You may remember your mom or grandma saying that their “programs” are on. This is because the shows are created to guide humanity in one way or another—to help or not help. As a millennial, there are many online forums where people talk about common things that happened collectively when we were all children. This was before the “dot com” era for most (at least not what it is today). So how did so many of our parents raise us the same way? How did so many kids do the same things? Programming—tv shows, movies, and commercials all played a pivotal role of what we were expected to do to become a part of society (for better or worse).
It now seems that these many of these programs (not all) have become a source of destruction—causing a huge divide in the world. It may have always been this way. I won’t speculate on this post about who is doing this or why (though I have my own theories). I will say that I believe the mass media programming (and also most religions) is being used to keep people from remembering or understanding that they are actually the ones creating their reality. It is keeping humanity from evolving—which can only happen when all perceptions are understood with discernment and all choices are made with love for every single person in existence. (I know that is easier said than done, and I work through this constantly every day while still having old programmed feelings surface.)
How can you raise your level of consciousness and challenge your current beliefs?
Listen to old recording of famous philosopher Alan Watts
Read/Listen to books written by Dolores Cannon
Read about the latest findings in the physics community
Meditate (look into the Monroe Institute trainings)
Know that not all books, movies, and shows are bad—find the ones that may help you instead. (A couple of movies I recommend to better understand string theory, timelines, and reality are: Coherence (2013), Mr. Nobody (2009), and Interstellar (2014).)
For a better tomorrow. ♡
